Exercise

I always recommend new clients focus on diet for fat loss before anything else. Exercise can be a helpful supplement to diet, but it is not a weight loss solution. Once you’re in a good food routine, increasing movement can be helpful to challenge your body and prevent it from adapting to the same routine. Exercise can also improve leptin sensitivity (a hunger hormone), which decreases appetite.

You can start exercise by increasing your daily steps (shoot for 10k per day).

Vary your exercise routine by trying new activities, increasing intensity, or adding resistance training. Resistance training helps build lean muscle, which increases your metabolism. The more muscle mass you have, the more calories your body burns, even at rest, helping you shed fat more effectively. Incorporating resistance exercises not only boosts your metabolism but also tones your body, leading to more sustainable and visible results in your weight loss journey.

Exercise is also important for:

  • better mood

  • heart health

  • improved sleep

  • increased energy

  • improved mental health

  • stress relief

  • better focus

  • improved brain functioning
