3 Tips for a Healthy Easter Weekend

Happy (almost) Easter! We know holiday weekends are filled with celebrations and larger-than-normal meals. But, you don’t have to let the holiday weekend knock you out of your healthy eating routine. Focus on these three tips to help you stay focused on your health goals while still enjoying the festivities:

1. When it comes to treats, ask yourself: “Is this food truly special or something I could have any day of the year?” If it’s something that’s always available, pass.

2. Remember the 3 Bite Rule: If you make a mindful decision to indulge, stick to 3 bites and eat them slowly to enjoy.

3. Prioritize protein throughout the day: 20-30g at meals and 5-15g at snacks. The protein will help stabilize blood sugar and prevent excessive hunger and cravings later in the day.
